Rich Paul is an American sports agent and TV personality from Cleveland, Ohio. He started his own agency, Clutch Sports Group, which represents top NBA players such as Anthony Davis, Eric Bledsoe, John Wall, Ben Simmons, Draymond Green and his close friend LeBron James.
Prior to this he worked with Leon Rose at Creative Artists Agency. The NCAA created a rule requiring agents to have a bachelor’s degree, often called the “Rich Paul Rule” because of its influence. LeBron James criticized the NCAA for this rule. Rich Paul also launched a “Culture Conversation” during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend with SocialWorks and General Mills to help young people learn about money.

After finishing high school, Paul learned how to sell vintage jerseys from Andy Hyman, who owned Distant Replays. He bought old jerseys from Atlanta and sold them in Cleveland out of the trunk of his car. In 2002, at the Akron-Canton airport, he met LeBron James, who was impressed by Paul’s vintage Warren Moon jersey. They exchanged contact details, and Paul soon sold James a Magic Johnson Lakers jersey and a Joe Montana jersey.
